(Mobile) Voice Recording

The eRecorder HD is a 3rd generation Cloud Based solution installed in the Core Network of the (Mobile) Network Operator. Financial firms can take Mobile Voice Recording as a Service from the Network Operator without swapping SIM cards, installing special Apps, or investing in non-compliant fixed mobile integrations.

Multi-tenant

The eRecorder HD has been designed and developed from the ground up, considering the principle of multi-tenancy.

A “Tenant” refers to an Enterprise customer of the (M)NO or even a residential (Mobile) User subscribed to the Voice Recording service as offered by the Operator. Configurable Retention Periods per Tenant are possible, and Tenant Data is isolated in Authentication Zones.

Multi-media Cloud Recording

The eRecorder HD supports recording mobile phone and/or fixed-line telephone conversations; the system's architecture is such that other media types, such as SMS, MMS, or Video, can be optionally added.

Performance, Scalability & Small Footprint

A critical component of the eRecorder HD is the Capture Engine: the recording & encryption module that combines high performance with a small footprint.

The Capture Engine’s main task is instant recording, in-memory strong encryption, and fingerprinting all calls. One Capture Engine supports up to 2,650 concurrent call recordings installed on standard enterprise-grade COTS hardware (HDD storage) or up to 10,000 concurrent call recordings when equipped with high-performance SSD storage technology.

Software Defined Object Storage

The Storage Center forms an integral part of the eRecorder HD to either temporarily buffer (e.g., 2-3 days) or store for a more extended period (months, years) encrypted call recordings on behalf of the Enterprise.

The Storage Center is based on “software-defined object storage” to manage objects in a flat address space and make it easy to scale up storage capacity (G/T/P Bytes). In addition, erasure coding is used as an (additional) method of data protection in which data is broken into fragments that are expanded and encoded with a configurable number of redundant pieces of data and stored across different locations, such as disks, storage nodes, or geographical redundant.

SIPREC Recording Interface

The eRecorder HD supports the SIPREC protocol towards the IMS / MRF or SBC in the (M)NO network. SIPREC is an IETF standards-based protocol to manage media delivery in SIP-based systems.

Highest Security Standards

The eRecorder HD provides in-memory strong encryption and fingerprinting of all calls. Every call is encrypted with a unique data encryption key, and decryption is only possible by the Customer.

The eRecorder HD performs in-memory strong a-symmetric encryption (RSA2048) on all calls, with a unique data encryption key per call and fingerprinting (SHA 256) to prove the recording is authentic.

Encrypted call recording files are transferred over a secure link to the on-premise Decryption Service, and calls are decrypted with only the customer's key. Integration between the Decryption Service and the Customer network-based HSM (FIPS Level 140-2, L2/L3) is available.
